"Since meeting Josh in 2008, I've lost 79 lbs!!! I had tried every different diet and training program out there. I would always gain the weight back or get injured doing a lot of cardio because that's how I thought you had to lose weight. I used to get wrapped around a number on the scale and get disappointed when I didn't make huge losses. Now I don't think I could even tell you what I weigh. I am happy when I look in the mirror or go try on dresses, my wedding dress was a size 26 and now I'm a size 12!! I can see the changes and know it's working for me. I have so much more energy and spend a lot more time with my husband doing recreational activities. I just finished the Pittsburgh Triathlon in July, winning 3rd place in my class! Josh has really helped me to understand nutrition and the huge role it plays in my weight loss and daily life. I can truly say that Josh, his training, and his guidance, has turned my life around!"

I first met Jim Rolfe at a local club I used to work at in December of 2007.  He came in to get a fitness assesment and I was lucky enough to perform it on him.  Jim was 35 years old and he weighed in at 355.7 lbs!  His body fat percentage was an astounding 31.4 percent and his flexibility was terrrible.

Eleven months later Jim asked me again if I could do another fitness assesment on him to measure the progress he had made on his own.  This time we were both happy to see he had lost a significant amount of weight and body fat.  He now weighed 289.7 and his body fat was 21.2 percent!  Jim wanted to know what he could do to make more gains and make them fast.  It was then that I introduced him to Metabolic Resistance Training.  We worked together over the course of several months focusing on lifting heavy full body lifts with high intensity cardiovascular instead of just steady state running.  Here is what Jim looks like now and what he has to say!

I started at 361 and am now 225….and shrinking!  I am stronger, faster, and more flexible than ever…in my life!  As well as the lightest in my teenage/adult life…..since 5th grade!  No joke.  It is possible to do this without drugs and without enhancements, and without surgery….I am the proof that hard work and determination combined with major lifestyle changes  and the sound advice of a great trainer works and it works long-term.

Josh, Thank you very much for all of your help. You are by far the best person I ever had help me train for weightlifting. You were very patient, understanding,  and made it very simple to learn without any derogatory comments some trainers use. Without your help I would never have been able to pass my test this month.  You were able to correct my lifting form and increase my bench press by 10lbs in only 2 weeks, also restoring confidence in myself.

In January of 2010, I set a goal to run a marathon on September 12th, 2010!  I started running alot and was afraid that running so much was going to make me lose muscle mass.  I went to Josh in April for help and to hopefully tone up a bit.  I started training 1-on-1 but then convinced a friend to do partner training.  Working out with a friend was fun and competitive at the same time which really motiviated me to push myself harder.  Josh personalized all the workouts to help me reach my goal.  It was never the same workout twice.  Using different exercises, Josh taught me that strength training could not only help tone my muscles, but help my cardio for running the marathon.  After about a month and a half of these workouts I noticed I was gaining muscle and had definition in my arms even though I was running alot!  I am very proud to say that I have completed my first marathon and could never have done it without Josh's help and support!
